LAHORE : ‘Dear Mr Jinnah’, a book based on memoirs of former bureaucrat Salman Faruqui was launched at Alhamra here on Tuesday.

Senior scholars, former bureaucrats, media personalities, educators and literary figures attended the launch event while speakers such as Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami, Amina Sayeed, Babar Ali, Kamran Lashari, Razi Ahmed, Ijaz Nabi and Shakil Durrani shared their views. The speakers underscored the significance of incorporating the book into all libraries, stressing its importance as required for civil service aspirants. They also advocated for its inclusion in the syllabus.

Amina Sayeed commended Faruqui for his decades of dedicated service to the nation, noting his work with six prime ministers, three governors, and two presidents.

Kamran Lashari lauded the enthusiastic writing style and significant value of book. Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami commented that the memoirs reminded us of the trials Pakistan has gone through and strengthen our resolve.
