Police lauded for rescuing children

LAHORE: IGP Punjab Dr Usman Anwar Monday commended the police teams of Lahore and Multan for rescuing abducted children from criminals and reuniting them with their parents.

Lahore police rescued a nine-day-old child from the clutches of accused Imran, Babar, Sheeza, and Sneha of Nishtar Colony area in 48 hours. The police arrested the accused with the help of advanced technology.

Similarly, Multan police recovered two-and-a-half-year-old Muhammad Haseeb, who was abducted from Sital Mari police area by accused Nabeela Bibi, who was arrested by police. The IGP awarded appreciation letters, certificates, and cash rewards to DIG Operations Lahore Muhammad Faisal Kamran and his police team. He gave commendation letters to SSP Operations Tasawar Iqbal and Additional SP Operations Ikhlaq Ullah Tarar and commendation certificates to Sub-Inspectors Muhammad Faheem, Muhammad Jameel Shahid Iqbal, ASI Muhammad Amjad Javed, and constables Muhammad Afzal and Shahid Anwar. Meanwhile, the IGP awarded appreciation letters to CPO Multan Sadiq Ali Dogar, SSP Operations Arslan Zahid, SSP Investigation Rana M Ashraf, and ASP Anam Tajammul SDPO New Multan. He gave commendation certificates to SI Umar Farooq, SI M Sajid Ashraf, constable M Imran, and Lady Constable Uzma. Additional IGP Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry, DIG Headquarters Humayun Bashir Tarar, and other officers also addressed the ceremony.
