IG orders resolving cops’ issues

LAHORE: Inspector General Police (IGP) Punjab Dr Usman Anwar has said fast track resolution to problems faced by the police employees and their families is the first priority so all the supervisory officers should ensure timely measures in this regard and provide maximum possible relief to the police force and their families.

He expressed his views while giving instructions to the officers during meeting the police employees and their families at the Central Police Office. The IG after listening to the problems of the police employees issued relief orders.

He directed the DIG Welfare to provide relief on the request of Constable Saeed Ahmad Shaheed's son for financial assistance for his education abroad, IG Punjab forwarded the application of lady constable Yasmeen Kanwal for permanent posting at the Elite headquarters to the DIG Establishment II.

Dr Usman Anwar forwarded the application of constable Muhammad Sharif's son Zohaib Anjum to AIG Admin for recruitment on family claim. He directed AIG Admin & security to provide relief on application of constable Rai Mumtaz Khan's widow for recruitment of her son as a traffic assistant.

On Assistant Shahzadi Asmat's request to cancel her transfer from Telecommunication, he directed AIG Admin to consider and provide relief. The IG issued orders on other applications related to recruitment, welfare, discipline, and various issues. The IG said that all the officers should provide relief to the employees and their families through immediate action on the requests of the employees.

PSCA initiates training of 42 more candidates

Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has initiated the training of 42 more selected candidates. Some 308 candidates were shortlisted after tests and interviews and 253 candidates were selected on open merit, 53 women on quota, and 2 officers on minorities’ quota.

New police communication officers were trained at the Operations and Monitoring Center, and Electronic Data Analysis Center. Officers are also being trained at the Media Management Centre, Emergency 15 Call Centre, and E-Challan System. The PSCA spokesperson said phase-wise training will be imparted to other selected candidates.

72 C-II officials promoted

In the second phase of promotions within Lahore Police some 72 C-II Constables have been promoted to the rank of Head Constables. Earlier, in the first phase, 344 C-I Constables were promoted to Head Constables, earlier. The Promotion Board reviewed 84 cases of promotion from Constables to Head Constables. The Capital City Police Officer Lahore (CCPO) congratulated the promoted officials and encouraged them to discharge duty with loyalty and dedication.
