RAWALPINDI: A US delegation visited the Adiala jail on Thursday to meet Zahir Jaffer, the killer of Noor Muqaddam, who is awaiting death sentence.
The US Embassy officials in Islamabad were allowed to visit the jail to meet the killer of Noor Muqaddam under consular access.
A three-member US team held a meeting and listened to Jaffer’s version on the killing of Noor Muqaddam, the jail sources said, adding the US representatives put questions about the incident. The meeting was held in the office of jail’s deputy superintendent. It should be mentioned here that Zahir Jaffer, a US nationality holder, was sentenced to death for the murder of Noor Muqaddam, the daughter of a former diplomat, by the court.
