Police reports said that the incident occurred on February 27 during a firing incident at a welding shop in the Korangi area.

Saima had accompanied her husband, Kamran, to the shop at the time of the incident. Two shopkeepers, Qasim and Haris, also sustained injuries during the firing by the assailants.

This year, there have been several instances of fatalities during robbery attempts, including the deaths of 38 individuals, among whom were four women, a child, and police officers.

On Friday, a man wounded over offering resistance to a mugging bid in the Korangi area succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the JPMC.

Police said Fida Hussain was a security guard at a plot, and a person named Tariq was also injured in the incident, while locals caught one robber. Police said robbers were looting citizens, including Tariq. Fida Hussain came to save Tariq and when he caught one robber, the suspect’s accomplices opened fire, injuring both Fida and Tariq.

The injured were taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre in a critical condition, where Fida succumbed to his injuries. He had suffered two bullet wounds to the abdomen. He hailed from Punjab.
