Ram Charan's makeup artist revealed she walked out of the Ambani bash following Shah Rukh Khan's "idly" remark on the actor, finding it disrespectful.
For the extravagant pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchants, which occurred from March 1, to March 3, 2024, numerous celebrities, including Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Aamir Khan, graced the events in Jamnagar.
Meanwhile, on the second day, the trio of Khans, Salman, Shah Rukh, and Aamir - reunited on stage after years.
A video of this moment is now making rounds on social media, where the Pathaan actor invited Ram Charan during the permormance to join him on stage and he playfully uttered some nonsensical words, possibly in Telugu or Tamil and said "idly."
This action of the King Khan didn't sit well with some, leading to disappointment expressed by Ram's makeup artist and dissatisfaction among internet users.
Ram's makeup artist, Zeba Hassan, who is a big fan of Shah Rukh Khan, expressed her displeasure with the way he called Ram Charan onstage on her Instagram story.
She wrote, "Saying names of snacks, Ram Charan where are you??? I walked out after this. So disrespectful towards a star like alwaysramcharan."
Additionally, many people also took to to social media platforms to express disappointment over Shah Rukh.
A user wrote on X, "Shahrukh Khan is being insensitive by referring to Ram Charan as 'idli', which could be perceived as a racial stereotype against South Indians," while the other penned, "Shah Rukh Khan being casually racist to Ram Charan who is South Indian by calling him idli."
