Kelly Rowland caused quite a bit of frenzy as she walked off the set of Today show, leaving the morning show scrambling to find a replacement.
Rita Ora then stepped in last minute to keep the show running, Page Six first reported.
“Kelly walked out because she and her team didn't like her dressing room,” the insider revealed to People Magazine. “Rita Ora agreed to fill in at the last minute. Many people at the show, inside and outside of the show, were impressed with how great she was.”
Rowland was a guest on the 8 a.m. hour of Today, and was then expected to fill in for Jenna Bush Hager in the fourth hour as guest host of Today with Hoda & Jenna.
The R&B singer reportedly requested a green room upstairs, but it was already being occupied by Jennifer Lopez, who was there to promote her new album, This Is Me… Now, and its accompanying Prime Video film.
When the former Destiny’s Child member didn’t get the dressing room she requested, she decided to walk out.
She was meant to promote her new Tyler Perry-produced Netflix movie, Mea Culpa, in which she stars and is also a producer.
