ISLAMABAD: After the formation of governments, there will be political battles for the seats of assemblies in the by-elections.

By-polls will be held in five constituencies of Lahore. If PMLN President Shehbaz Sharif keeps the National Assembly seat of Kasur, there will be a by-election in six constituencies in Lahore. Maryam Nawaz will vacate the seat of NA-119 for which by-election will be held. Similarly, Shehbaz Sharif will vacate the seats of PP-158 and PP-164. Shehbaz Sharif was elected MNA from two seats, Lahore and Kasur. He will leave the seat from either Lahore or Kasur. Hamza Shehbaz is likely to leave the provincial seat PP-147. Shehbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz have been nominated for the post of Prime Minister and Chief Minister of Punjab respectively. Aleem Khan will retain NA-117 and will vacate PP-149. Due to the need for more seats in the National Assembly, it is proposed to keep Hamza Shehbaz in the National Assembly.
