Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab said on Thursday that the public faced problems with casting their votes due to the suspension of mobile and internet services in the city.
Wahab was speaking to journalists after casting his vote in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area. He said the caretaker government had held out the assurance that it would ensure smooth running of mobile and internet services in the country. He added that still people were coming out to vote but their pace was slow.
Talking about Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, he said the Pakistan Peoples Party’s chairman would receive support from all over Pakistan. He added that Bilawal was the only leader who campaigned across the country. He commented: “Those who claim to form the next government did not even hold a rally in Balochistan and Sindh.”
Wahab asserted that the public vibed with Bilawal’s political thinking, hoping that the results of the General Election 2024 would put the PPP in power everywhere in the country. The Karachi mayor said that if the PPP won then its responsibility would be to fulfil the promises it made regarding education, peace, jobs and betterment in the next five years. He said that if anyone has the secret to connect hearts in Pakistan’s political history, it is Asif Ali Zardari. He gave the 18th Amendment to the public.
