LAHORE: The Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) on Sunday declared its unwavering support for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) across 88 National Assembly and 150 Provincial Assembly constituencies in the Punjab province.
During a joint press conference, leaders from both the PUC and PMLN emphasized their commitment to promoting economic and social stability in the country. They reiterated their adherence to the principles outlined in the Quran and Sunnah, underscoring the importance of righteousness and piety while shunning wrongdoing and un-Islamic activities.
Underlining their role as guardians of faith and guided by the Quranic principles, the leadership of PUC announced the support for PML-N and its allied parties nationwide.
In Punjab alone, where the PMLN holds significant sway, with 88 National Assembly seats and over 150 Provincial Assembly seats, the support from the PUC is poised to bolster the party’s position.
To facilitate communication with local leadership and the public, a dedicated committee has been formed. The leaders expressed optimism that February 8th would herald good news for Pakistan.
The press conference saw addresses from key figures of the PMLN, including Rana Sanaullah, Haji Akram Ansari, Malik Abdul Razzaq, and other leaders.
