Gaza is facing a serious health crisis due to Israel’s genocidal assault. Last month, the UN reported that at least 300 healthcare workers had been killed since October 7 and that the number of functioning hospitals, reportedly under heavy strikes, had fallen from 36 to just 11. These alarming figures have likely worsened since the report’s release.
Along with the healthcare infrastructure, this relentless Israeli assault has severely damaged sanitation facilities, raising concerns about disease outbreaks in Gaza. Explosive attacks have also introduced harmful chemicals such as white phosphorus, adding to the health risks.
