Ashley Biden, the daughter of US President Joe Biden, owes around $5,000 in income taxes, as per a lien paperwork that the Post was able to obtain on Monday.
The 42-year-old was notified on December 1st by the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue's Philadelphia County office that a $5,079.44 tax lien had been placed on her property, according to a notification first acquired by Fox News.
The government uses liens to recover funds from delinquent taxes. In this instance, the first daughter's property was subject to two liens because she neglected to pay income taxes in 2015, her father's year as vice president, and in 2021, her father's first year as president.
Ashley Biden was hit with $2,736 and $2,249 in liens in addition to a $94.44 filing fee, per the filing in Philadelphia's Court of Common Pleas. She had failed to pay $1,691 and $1,956 in taxes for each of those years.
The White House and Ashley Biden's lawyer have been contacted by the Post for comments.
The youngest child of the president, Ashley Biden, had already made headlines for her hard-partying past and, more recently, for having had one of her diaries stolen, which served as material for a number of stories about her father in the final days of the 2020 election.
