LAHORE:The preparations for the inauguration of Punjab’s first ever Sports Medicine Clinic have started and in this regard a delegation of doctors from a private hospital inspected various departments of Medicine Clinic at National Hockey Stadium on Thursday.
The delegation of doctors comprising of Dr Khurram, Dr Naeem and Dr Habib also met with DG Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail, who on this occasion said that the Sports Medicine Clinic will be inaugurated soon.
“Definitely, the establishment of this clinic is an encouraging news for provincial coaches and players belonging to different games,” he added. Dr Asif Tufail said that multiple diseases, including sports injuries and bone fractures of athletes will be treated at this clinic. “Nutrition experts will also provide thorough guidance to the players and coaches about the suitable nutrition”. The delegation along with Dr Asif Tufail also visited the divisional coaches’ training programme being conducted under the auspices of Youth Affairs Department. Doctors on this occasion asked different questions from coaches about the injuries and fitness to check their knowledge.
