Kamran Bangash granted transit bail

PESHAWAR: A local court granted transit bail to former provincial minister Kamran Bangash on Thursday and directed him to appear before the court in Chitral on November 6.

The additional district and sessions judge accepted the transit bail plea of the former minister after his counsel Ali Zaman stated that Kamran Bangash wanted to appear before the court in Chitral but it is feared that police would arrest him while on the way.

A case was lodged against Kamran in City police station in Lower Chitral for inciting people against state and its institutions.

The former provincial cabinet member and general secretary of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Peshawar region Kamran Bangash was arrested from his house in the limits of the Chamkani police station a few day back. Later, cases were lodged against him in Dera Ismail Khan, Tank and Chitral.
