Dr. Nadeem Jan specifically reviewed the construction progress of the Polyclinic G-11/3 expansion project-II, which aims to add an impressive 300 beds to the facility. Originally slated for completion in three years, the minister directed authorities to expedite the project and complete it within two years, emphasizing the importance of timely completion for public welfare projects. This expansion project holds great significance as it is expected to benefit not only the residents of Islamabad and its neighboring areas but also the people of Azad Jammu Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. The hospital will provide healthcare services for a wide range of medical conditions, including diabetes, blood pressure, maternity care, allergies, bone and joint problems, chest and heart diseases, and skin issues. Dr. Nadeem Jan stressed the necessity of implementing reforms in the healthcare sector to address the growing healthcare needs of a burgeoning population. He highlighted the initiation of a project to reduce the strain on large hospitals by revamping 460 primary health centers nationwide.

Furthermore, the minister underlined the importance of promoting vaccine production and ensuring transparency in medical education and regulatory bodies. He emphasized the need for a strong healthcare system to prevent the spread of cross-border diseases and improve the provision of medicines.

Dr. Nadeem Jan's commitment to advancing Pakistan's healthcare sector is evident through various initiatives, including the expansion of the Health Card system, computerization of hospital pharmacy systems, and efforts to combat communicable and non-communicable diseases. This comprehensive plan for healthcare reform is poised to have a lasting impact on the health and well-being of the people of Pakistan.
