Army Act being amended to try civilians in military courts |

ISLAMABAD: New amendments being introduced in the Army Act, after which the military courts could also hear the cases against civilians, sources said.
According to the sources, under the new amendments in the Army Act, the terror suspects could be tried in the military courts. The military courts could also hear the cases against people involved in attacks over the military installations, sources said.
An ordinance to amend the Army Act is likely to be issued on Friday. The new amendments in the Army Act being made in the context of missing persons’ cases in the Supreme Court, sources added. |
