Trader stabbed to death

LAHORE

A 55-year-old trader was killed with a sharp-edged weapon in the Mochi Gate police limits on Monday. 

The police said the victim, Ahsan Ahmad, was at his godown when he was stabbed to death. Police registered a case against unidentified attackers on the complaint of his son. Police said the victim ran a general store in Islampura. He might have been killed over old enmity or business dispute. 

BODIES: A 45-year-old man died under mysterious circumstances in the Bhatti Gate police limits. Police said the victim was lying near Metro Bridge. A passerby spotted the victim and informed the police who removed the body to morgue for autopsy. SI Mansoor said a slip was recovered from the body.

He said on the slip, Ahmad Hassan, a resident of Mughalpura, was written. He said the victim seemed drug addict and died of excessive use of drugs or cold. In another incident, a 35-year-old unidentified man was found dead in Data Darbar Police limits. Police removed the body to morgue for autopsy. A passerby informed police about the body. 

ACCIDENTS:At least 471 road accidents were reported in Provincial Monitoring Cell of Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) in all 36 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours in which 12 lives were lost and 388 serious injured were shifted to different hospitals of relevant districts. Some 207 victims who sustained minor injuries were discharged on the spot after giving them first aid.
