A seven-year-old boy kidnapped by some unidentified persons on the second day of Eid in Wahdat Colony area has been recovered dead from an open drain.
The murderers had subjected the victim to severe torture as the body bore multiple marks of bruises. The victim identified as Ahmad Javed, son of Javed Mughal of Wahdat Colony, went to a shop, but did not turn up. Today, some passersby spotted the victim’s body floating in an open drain in Maragzar Colony and informed the police. The victim was a class -2 student and was the youngest among his seven brothers and sisters. Police sent the body to morgue for autopsy and registered a murder case against unidentified murderers on the complaint of victim’s father Javed Mughal.
shot dead: A 30-year-old man was shot dead by three persons in the Raiwind area on Friday. He was identified as Mohammad Naeem of Kot Nial Khan. Police said the victim, who worked in a local factory, had an exchange of hot words with his colleagues Javed and Shani over a minor issue. The matter was resolved on the spot. However, the accused Javed and Shani had nursed a grudge against the victim. On the day of the incident, the accused Javed and Shani along with an unidentified accomplice intercepted Naeem when he was on his way back home from his workplace and shot him to death. Police shifted the body to morgue and registered a murder case against three persons.
Meanwhile, a 40-year-old man expired in a local hospital on Friday, four days after he was hit by a bike near Dharampura Bridge.Police said the victim, yet to be identified, was crossing a road when a speeding bike hit him. As a result, he received fatal injuries. He was admitted to a local hospital where he died on Friday. Police shifted the body to morgue. In yet another incident, two persons died at the hands of some unidentified swindlers in different parts of the city on Friday.A 50-year-old man was found dead in the limits of Shahdara Town police station

and another man was recovered dead from the limits of Qila Gujar Singh police station. Police claimed that both the men identified as Imtiaz of Shakargarh and Jamil of Okara had been served some poisonous substance by the swindlers, resulting into their death. Police shifted the bodies to morgue.
DISMISSED: CTO Lahore dismissed a traffic warden from service for being absent from duty without leave and issued show cause notices to four wardens, including sector incharge Shadman.Sector incharge Shadman Tariq Shah was given a show cause notice as he had failed to reach the spot of an accident despite being informed.
