karachi: The Department of Geography, University of Karachi, will organise a road safety awareness walk and a seminar on February 21.
Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Ajmal Khan will preside over the event, said a statement issued by the varsity on Friday.
The awareness walk is scheduled at 08:30am, from the Silver Jubilee Gate to the Arts Auditorium. A professor of neurosurgery at the Department of Surgery, Aga Khan Hospital University, Dr Rashid Jooma, will deliver the keynote speech at the seminar.
Professor Dr Mir Shabbar Ali, dean of the Faculty of Civil and Petroleum Engineering, NED University; Dr Omer Qureshi, chief technical officer of Automotive Design and Crash Worthiness Research, IST Islamabad; SSP Dr Samiullah Soomro; DIG Traffic Police Javed Ali Mahar, DIG National Highway and Motorway Police; Muhammad Saleem; Umer Tafazzul, senior patrol officer, Mobile Education Unit [NH&MP]); Dr Salman Zubair, assistant professor, Department of Geography, KU, will also address the seminar.
