PAKPATTAN: The dead body of a woman was found from a canal here on Tuesday. Some passersby spotted the body in the canal and informed the police. The police have sent the body to a hospital for postmortem. Meanwhile, police have found the dead body of Muhammad Shafiq of Vehari from fields at Chak 35-SP. The police have sent the body to the DHQ Hospital for postmortem.
RAPE BID FOILED: A rape bid was foiled here on Tuesday.The daughter of Ahmad Din was on her way when accused Shaukat caught her at Chak 117-EB, dragged her into fields, and allegedly tried to rape her. On her hue and cry, the accused fled. Police have registered a case.
