Two workers injured in factory roof collapse

LAHORE

Two workers were injured when the roof of an oil factory caved in at Green Town on Saturday.

Rescue officials said workers were busy in work in the oil factory near Qadri Chowk when the roof of the building collapsed because of its dilapidated condition. Two workers, Muhammad Azhar and Abdul Sattar, were trapped under the debris. Their colleagues started removing the debris to evacuate them. They also called rescue teams who removed the debris, evacuated the victims and admitted them to hospital. The condition of the victims was stated to be stable.

body found: The body of an infant was found in a canal near Thokar Niaz Beg on Saturday. Police said a passerby spotted the body floating in the canal and informed police. Police fished it out and collected forensic evidences. 

FOUND DEAD: A 35-year-old unidentified man was found dead in the Qila Gujjar Singh police area on Saturday. A passerby informed police that a man was lying unconscious. Police removed him to hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. Police said he looked an addict and might have died of an overdose of drugs. However, autopsy would help ascertain the cause of his death, they said. Police are searching for his family.

Man arrested: FIA Immigration officials on Saturday arrested a passenger at Allama Iqbal International Airport for travelling on a fake visa from Libya. According to FIA officials, a passenger named Muhammad Siddique of Faisalabad landed at the airport from Libya on a fake visa. He was arrested and handed over to the FIA Anti-Human
