Raids continue for recovery of SHC CJ’s son

KARACHI: Over 300 suspects arrested by the police during operations in Dadu and Jamshoro districts are being interrogated in connection with the kidnapping of Sindh High Court (SHC) Chief Justice Syed Sajjad Ali Shah’s son.

Some of the suspects have been shifted to Hyderabad for further interrogation. The entire process is being kept secret from the media.Sources in the Sindh Police told The News that teams headed by DIG Hyderabad Division Khadim Rind, SSP Dadu  Muneer Sheikh, SSP Jamshoro Tariq Wilayat and ASP Sehwan Rai Mazhar were conducting raids in many villages and areas to recover Owais Shah.

The police are searching for two notorious criminals of Dadu district, who remained bodyguards of a political party leader.Both the criminals also remained involved in many crimes, including kidnappings for ransom.

SSP Dadu Muneer Sheikh confirmed that police teams on Thursday raided the Menho Khan Bhand village in Dadu and arrested seven suspects. Around 20 villages of Dadu and Jamshoro were raided.

The sources said according to leads received from the Karachi Police, raids were carried out in Dadu and Jamshoro after some suspected mobile phone calls were made from these areas.The Karachi Police sources say Owais Shah has not been kidnapped for ransom.
