Police arrest gang of robbers

PESHAWAR: The police arrested four-member gang of robbers after two days of the robbery in the city and recovered the looted money along with snatched mobiles.

On the night of June 12, some unknown robbers looted the traders Sajjad and Shahid Khan at the Momin Town. They snatched Rs11,3300 and four mobiles from them.Taking notice of the robbery, the Capital City Police Officer Mubarak Zeb Khan constituted a special team for nabbing the culprits.

The police official said the special team constituted under the Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations), Abdul Majeed Marwat used the modern techniques and traced the culprits within two days.

He said that the police arrested the four member robbers’ gang in the city. Those arrested included Riaz alias Ijaz, Imtiaz alias Taki, Adil Muhammad and Imtiaz, son of Abdul Akbar, residents of Gulabad. The SSP operations said that the police recovered the looted money. Mobiles were also recovered from the robbers. During investigation, he said that the culprits revealed that they were involved in 17 robbery cases in the city.
