High-achievers of FBISE honoured at Aiwan-e-Sadr

President Mamnoon Hussain honoured high-achievers during the 31st award distribution ceremony of the Federal Board of Education and Secondary Education at the Aiwan-e-Sadr here on Friday.
Medals were given away to the students, who clinched top positions in the FBISE exams.
Noted among participants were Minister of State for Federal Education Engineer Balighur Rehman and FBISE Chairman Dr. Ikram Ali Malik.
Earlier, the president said there was a need for an education system, which could prepare youths for the current and future challenges.
He said it was the joint responsibility of the state, teachers and parents to make an educational system representing national objectives.
The president also asked the relevant authorities to update curriculum in line with changing times and said there was a need for inclusion of chapters on Muslim rulers of the sub-continent in textbooks.
He also called for the promotion of education among women and said unless women join the national workforce, the country’s journey of success would remain incomplete.
The president congratulated high-achievers asked them to always be thankful to those, who they owed their success to, including parents and teachers.
On the occasion, FBISE Chairman Dr. Ikram Ali Malik said his was the only ISO-certified educational board in the country. He said the FBISE records and operations had been computerised to the benefit of stakeholders, especially students.
