Two found dead

LAHORE

Two persons were found dead in different parts of the city on Tuesday.

A 70-year-old man was found lying dead on Bund Road, Sanda and a 45-year-old man was recovered dead from Khokhar village in the Badami Bagh area.

Police claimed that both the persons, yet to be identified, might have died of some medical complications. Police shifted the bodies to morgue. 

burnt: Auto spare parts and garments worth millions of rupees were reduced to ashes in two different fire related incidents here on Tuesday.

Auto spare parts were burnt when fire broke out in a three-storey auto spare parts godown in the Qila Gujar Singh area. Cause of fire was said to be short-circuit. In another incident, garments worth thousands of rupees were reduced to ashes when fire broke out in a garment factory in the Gulberg area.

Fire erupted in garment factory due to short-circuit. On being informed, the firefighters rushed to the scenes and extinguished fire after hectic efforts. No casualty was reported.

reinstated: CTO Lahore Tuesday reinstated 16 traffic wardens and deployed them in various traffic sectors.

Among the reinstated wardens were Shahid, Irfan, Abdul Qadeer, Tabassum, Zeeshan, Riaz, Assad, Kashif, and Rashid. CTO had suspended these wardens some days back on various charges, including dereliction of duty, negligence and absenteeism.
