3-day moot on medical education concludes at KMU

PESHAWAR: A three-day International Conference on Medical Education organised by the Khyber Medical University (KMU) and Association for Excellence in Medical Education (AEME) concluded here on Sunday.

There were six parallel sessions on the last day of the event. Prof Moeen Ali of Taif University KSA, Dr Ayaz Ayub and Dr Sarwat Masood of KMU-IPH, Prof Shela Pinjani of Aga Khan University Karachi, Brigadier Dr Aamir Ijaz of Medical Corps of Pakistan Army, Prof Samina Malik of University Medical and Dental College Lahore, Prof Lubna Baig from Jinnah Medical University Karachi, Prof. Jennat Grant of UK, Prof. Junaid Sarfaraz Khan of UHS Lahore), Prof M Tariq Rafi of Sindh Medical University Karachi and other experts presented their research papers on various topics.

Speaking as chief guest at the concluding session, ophthalmologist and founder Vice-chancellor of the KMU Prof. Dr. Muhammad Daud Khan said that by organising such a mega event on medical education, KMU and AEME had conveyed a positive message to the entire world.

Speaking on the occasion, KMU VC Prof. Dr. Mohammad Hafizullah said that successful conclusion of the mega event had become possible due to the hard work of the KMU and AEME joint team. He hoped that the conference would definitely help in promoting soft image of Khyber Pakhtunkihwa.

“Holding of this conference was an honour not only for the KMU but also the entire province and medical fraternity of the province,” he said, and thanked the participants and experts from abroad and across the country who contributed with full zeal and zest.
