Director Anjum Shehzad told Instep earlier, that he was “planning to release the film in January since it needed work in terms of colour grading”, however; the team did not come around with a confirmed release date.

The good news is that they have finally settled on a new release date. Lead actor, Mustafa took to Instagram to announce the release date. He shared the poster of the film, writing: “May 6th it is”. The film’s official trailer will be unveiled on March 23rd, next week.

Written by Sarmad Sehbai, the film also stars Sanam Saeed and Manzar Sehbai in important roles and follows the life of a contemporary poet who draws parallels with the life of Urdu poet Mir Taqi Mir as he struggles to make it big. The film promises to be an unconventional venture in a rut of clichéd, potboilers and one hopes that it doesn’t get delayed further.
