ISLAMABAD: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sardar Mehtab Abbasi has resigned and sent his resignation to the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Sources at PM House said resignation of Sardar Mehtab Abbasi has been accepted by the Premier and forwarded it to the President.
The sources added that Abbasi decided to resign as KP Governor as he wanted to take part in the parliamentary politics.
The name of Pir Sabir Shah, Salahuddin Tirmizi and Senator Zaffar Iqbal Jhagra are being considered for the vacated slot of KP Governor.
