ISLAMABAD: Resignation of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) chairman Nasir Jaffer has been accepted by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Sources at the PM House said, additional charge of the PIA chairman has been assigned to Secretary Civil Aviation Irfan Elahi.
Sources went on to say Elahi will soon meet the premier and will give a briefing to him on the current situation to steer the PIA out of prevailing crisis.
Nasir Jaffer had resigned two days back following the death of two protesting PIA employees in Karachi.
