ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has convened a meeting of the heads of all the parliamentary parties today (Friday) to redress their reservations over China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
This will be the second All Parties Conference on CPEC after eight months, the first having been held on May 28, 2015.
After that, political calm prevailed for months as every side was pleased. But it was rocked the day the prime minister inaugurated the western route of the CPEC in Zhob (Balochistan) on December 31.
Chairman of the parliamentary committee on CPEC, Mushahid Hussain Syed said all the political parties have assured complete support on this project, however, reservations of these parties could be redressed on its priorities.
He said all the parties are agreed that this project will help in the progress and prosperity of the country.
