RIYADH: To pledge their support for raising women's role in society, a Saudi musical operetta entitled "Daughters of Salman" will be held at King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh to celebrate Woman’s Day on March 2, Arab media reported.
As International Women’s Day is celebrated across the globe to pledge the support for gender equality, celebrating the achievements of women, while the Saudi musical operetta is all set to feature for two days, starting Friday March 2nd under the sponsorship of Princess Nora bint Mohammed al- Saoud.
The event will be graced with the theatrical performances, poetry by the most prominent women poets in the Kingdom, and the presentation of a documentary film that tells the history of Saudi women.
The mega activity will also include a series of shows which will take place at the lobby of the main center for the whole Saudi family and children.
The program will also contain varied seminars on new media, a photography, medical culture, plastic arts and folklore.
It will honor Saudi women who have proven themselves in various fields in journalism, art, photography, poetry, and other fields such as sport, management and education.
This event is the second of its kind. The King Fahd Cultural Center is keen to initiate artistic and cultural activities, honor the pioneers and support the creative minds in various fields.
