KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) stalwart and Opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah has opposed judicial commission (JC), headed by retired Supreme Court judge Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmany and called for a parliamentary commission over Panama leaks.
Speaking to media, Khursheed Shah said, “a parliamentary commission headed by Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani and comprises equal number of government and opposition members should be formed to investigate Panama leaks allegations.”
Shah went on to say that Raza Rabbani should be given all powers and assistance of technical experts to investigate into Panama leaks, adding that everyone can have confidence in Chairman Senate.
Due to a democratic set up in the country, the matter of Panama leaks was brought before the parliament, he added.
