| Will the ‘Ba-Ghairat’ Brigade ask their Taliban bombers to at least spare WFP relief operation in NAs? |
Since the Ba-Ghairat Brigade despite all the hullabaloo over the Kerry-Lugar Bill failed to raise any storm in the country leading to the fall of fledging democratic government or at least bringing their minus-one formula into reality, is it asking too much from them to advise their Taliban foot soldiers for halting their barbaric onslaughts at least on the UN’s World Food Program (WFP), which has been forced to close some 20 food distribution hubs, serving some two million people in northern areas of Pakistan.
These distribution points served people from Swat, Dir, Buner and other areas, who had been displaced by the conflict in these regions earlier this year. The WFP, which meets the food needs of people in many parts of the country, has been forced to take this measure in view of the worsening security situation in the country. A spokesman has expressed the hope that the closure will be temporary and that the hubs can re-open soon. But we do not yet know if this will happen. New acts of terrorism in Islamabad have only added to the apprehensions. Earlier this month, the WFP office had itself been hit by a suicide bombing in which five people tragically died. The security situation, for the present at least remains volatile.
It is ironic that while on the one hand the humanitarian situation in the country continues to worsen, and more desperate IDPs pour out from Waziristan, the agencies that could offer them some relief are themselves being targeted. That this is happening is proof of the sheer evil that makes the Taliban and their Ba-Ghairat patrons in the settled areas of Pakistan what they are.
Over the past two years, humanitarian organizations have pulled out from across the NWFP and Balochistan. The prevailing security situation means international organizations will not have access to IDPs in Dera Ismail Khan and Tank. While agencies will continue to do what they can to help, working in some cases with local partners, their inability to reach affected people will have an impact on the assistance they receive. This is highly disturbing for every one, who cares for the suffering humanity.

And there is the ready alibi of Taliban to bear the cross. With Pak Ranger's perfunctory record, one can safely assume that for every one of the Indian spies captured there would be four, if not five, others managing their way in. The US and ISAF have called foul to the rash of Indian Consulates dotted along the Southern Afghanistan, alongside the porous Pak-Afghan borders, and the myopic leadership have had little manpower or military will to cover those gaping holes that cause immense damage to Pakistan's industrial and commercial bases. Well informed sources in the US have already indicated the strong anti-Pakistan lobby having contributed to the caveats of K-L Bill, and that the present counter-insurgency mayhem has been fanned and funded by the same notorious lobby that finds ready collaboration of the PPP simpletons. This insurgency mayhem should be tackled from purely, national standpoint. Without outside intervention or intercession. The saner voices in Pakistan have been shouting at the top of their voices that the army action against its own countrymen is eroding the morale of the forces and the people and this may take a deadly toll if Pakistan were imposed a sudden-death assault from across the borders. The question that needs be asked first is, who turned those compatriots IDPs (internally displaced persons) - the maverick establishment and the myopic govt. With that holier-than-thou attitude, if someone were to foolishly indict the ferocious tribes fighting for their survival, and the complete breakdown of the law and order has opened up new vistas for our enemies to inflict exponential damages. |

I would rather suggest that instead of getting our soldiers killed and injured by these barbaric people, we should use nuclear weapons against them. Warn all pro-Pakistan people to leave the area (and make them stay in camps till each one of them is cleared by intelligence agencies). Once the dead-line is over use low intensity nuclear devices to clear the region. These murderers deserve it, rather more. |

| I read comment from Bob ( US senator). He says that US is giving money to do certain things and if pakistan do not use them at right project, then US govt needs to make sure that it is used at right place. So how come this is aid? This is like we are taking job from US govt and doing for them. So it is not aid, it is compensation to do job properly. Pak govt is given money (Finances) to do few projects for US govt and the stake holders want to make sure that money is spent on the projects it is given for rather than else where. We will be outsourced security contractor and public relation contractor for US govt. Just like outsourced call centres in india. Our job is to build USA image among people of pakistan by utilising this money on people and not keeping most money in party leaders' pockets or in western bank accts. and same for defence money. So if we are not ready to do projects for them, then we can refuse projects and do not do projects for them. But keep in mind. RAW is paying to DEFACTO taliban to get job done by them and they are bombing our innocent people. Taliban are doing job by taking money from others. Unki ghairat kio nahi jaag rahi? and as i wrote earlier, we need to decide where do we stand and how do we want to live our lives. In the process first we need to identify goal before just start walking on the roads and reach no where in the end. These goals need to be told to people of pakistan and if we have enough support, then we can follow thruough. Do we want to allow taliban to do anything they should do after taking money from others? Everyone gets angry in life, when something happens to our loved ones or we have hard times in life, but every one must know the difference between good and bad. But taliban and a lot of pashtun (not all) decided to do illegal things decades before and pak govt overlooked their crimes for decades now it became a normal thing among them. Kill or kidnap people and get paid, regardless of the person killed or kidnapped is right or wrong. Illegal weapons are sold there and people of pakistan proudly say that they can buy any weapon from bara by paying money. Local pashtun criminals ( in my mind) and lately joined taliban groups are already working as local security contractors and killing for decades. TIME TO THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS. Today, certain factions of the Taliban have latched on to the indoctrinations of Raw-Mossad-CIA against the State of Pakistan and bent on wreaking vengeance at random. Those Baboos, the pen pushers, are caged birds and eke their livelihood at the mercy of their bosses, would not know 'Ghairat' better than those free birds, under no restraints, who have disciplined their lives on modalities of honor and respect. Even if the Taliban are routed from their known concentrations, can they be eliminated? Their consistent strikes at eminent targets belie all perceptions that the scourge of Taliban bashing can ever bring peace and tranquility to the country. If the US and NATO forces exhibit their readiness to enter into dialog with certain factions of Taliban, why not the govt of Pakistan assume this propitious posture? |

| Unless Government of Pakistan gives security clearance to World Food Programme to reopen its office, the alternate arrangements should be made by UN WFP. Under the present scenario, WFP should distribute the required food to IDP’s through local NGO’s, or through Utility Stores. The situation will not remain the same as Jawans of Pakistan Army are doing wonderful job in hunting the terrorists. However, to clear the complete mess from the affected areas it may take some time. Terrorists do not deserve any clemency as they are the enemies of the country. No negotiations should be made and terrorists should be wiped out with iron hand. |

| The most important factor in all this tragic situation in Pakistan and Afganistan is that it has been going on for nine years, but no one has spoken clearly about the hands who are financing Talban , selling them arms and moreover providing them food and water in the middle of mountains, where human being cannot suvive on his own for more than couple of days without help from out sides. They have survived almost nine years. Hitler's army could not suvive one winter in Russia. Why the American Satellites cannot idetify the supply line and stop it? After all the super power is spending so much in this war. Historically, to defeat the enemy, cutting the supply line is the basic war tactics for years. I hope and wish that prolonging the war is not serving the American interests. I have not heard a single word from USA against Saudi Arabia after all the majority of 9/11 bombers were saudis. By the way none of them was Iraqi. |
