MANSEHRA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has fielded two female contenders on two of the five provincial assembly constituencies in Mansehra district.
“We have adopted a strategy to end conflicts over allotment of tickets. We have awarded tickets to two female party aspirants,” Zargul Khan, the regional president of PTI in Hazara, told reporters here on Saturday.
Giving details of the party contenders on two national and five provincial assembly constituencies in the district, Zargul Khan said that NA-13 was left open where the PTI would support former MPA Saleh Mohammad Khan, a dissident of PML-N.
Zarghul Khan, who is also PTI contender on National Assembly constituency NA-14, said that Nawabzada Fareed was awarded party ticket for PK-33, Zahid Chenzeb for PK-32 and Babar Saleem Swati for PK-3.
He said that in PK-34 there was conflict between former opposition leader in provincial assembly Shahzada Gustasap Khan and tehsil councillor Saeed Khan, so ticket was awarded to Zahid Sabeel.
The regional president of PTI said that same was the situation in PK-30 where many party aspirants including former MPA Mazhar Ali Qasim, Mushtaq Mahandari and Taimur Raza had applied for tickets. “And ticket was awarded to Maria Fatima in the best interest of the party,” he added.
