Milestone achieved: SC Karachi Registry disposes of all criminal appeals

KARACHI: The Supreme Court has disposed of all the criminal appeals pending at the court's Karachi registry on Thursday. The Supreme Court’s three member bench headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa while deciding the last appeal of five appellants at the Karachi Registry, observed that the Karachi Registry has achieved a milestone as no more appeals are pending before it. The court had disposed of the last two criminal appeals against conviction and observed that by the grace of Almighty Allah and the assistance of the counsels, no criminal appeal is pending here. The court observed that the 20 cases pending at Quetta Registry will be disposed of soon.
