A 60-year-old man was found dead in Shahdara police limits on Sunday. A passerby informed the police about the man lying unconscious near Lajpat Road. They rushed the victim to a nearby hospital where the doctors pronounced him as brought dead. Police suspected that the man was a drug addict.
ARRESTED: Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) claimed to have arrested 38 criminals and helped 5,011 travellers on highways. According to a handout, the PHP arrested proclaimed offenders Zafar Hussain, Akram and Abdul-Ul-Khaliq, absconders Arshad and Ejaz. The PHP arrested Imtiaz who had stolen valuables and cash from a store and recovered Rs 8,000 in cash and three mobile phones from his custody.
The PHP arrested Adnan and Shafi Ullah involved in firing at two people. The PHP recovered 1,250-gram chars, 37 litres of liquor, seven pistols, 84 bullets, 240-kg unhygienic meat, stolen wood and cattle after arresting 30 criminals.
