TANK: Elders of South Waziristan Agency and Frontier Region Tank on Sunday announced protest against the Fata education authorities for transferring the staff of three colleges to Kurram Agency.
Tribal elders attended a grand jirga at a hotel here in Tank.
Speaking on the occasion, Malik Nooruddin, Gulnawaz and Saifullah said the authorities of the Fata Education in Peshawar shifted the entire staff of the Government Degree Colleges Ladha, Saam and Jandola, to Kurram Agency, depriving the students of South Waziristan and FR Tank of education facilities.
They said the teachers were taking evening classes for the students of three colleges in the building of the Zaam Public School but the Fata Education authorities transferred the staff of the colleges to Kurram. The elders said the principal of the Government Degree College, Jandola had not been attending the college for years and he had got his son appointed to his position.
