PESHAWAR: Chief Secretary Muhammad Salim Khan visited Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Authority here on Thursday.
He was received by KP Food Authority Director General Riaz Khan Mahsud. The chief secretary visited different sections of the authority and met the authority’s team.
The chief secretary was briefed about authority’s operations. He appreciated the skilled teams and their operations.
He stressed the teams to gear up crackdown against adulterated milk.
He also said that livestock, food authority and other quarters to make sure availability of pure milk to the general public.
Riaz Khan Mahsud, while briefing the chief secretary, said that the authority was working on online mechanism.
He maintained the online licensing had been launched to facilitate food outlets owners.
He revealed that the authority would be extended to 13 other districts of the province in the next phase. “This extension also includes two newly-merged districts of Khyber and Kurram,” he added.
The chief secretary assured full support to the authority to maintain food safety across the province.
