LANDIKOTAL: Twenty-one militants were killed while several others sustained injuries when Pakistan Air Force (PAF) fighter aircraft carried out bombardment on the suspected militants’ hideouts in the Tirah Valley of Khyber Agency on Friday, official sources said.
An official told The News that the PAF fighter jets targeted the hideouts of militants in Rajgal Kandow, Kheraba and the adjacent areas in Tirah Valley. He said 12 heavy bombs were dropped that destroyed several hideouts vacated by the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Lashkar-e-Islam (LI) fighters after security forces chased them in Tirah Valley near the Pak-Afghan border. The official added that at least 21 militants were killed in the attack and seven others were injured. He added that four positions of militants were also destroyed.
