Nadra data shows Imran made wrong claims on votes’ transfer

ISLAMABAD: During another fiery press conference on Friday, PTI chief Imran Khan again claimed the transfer of a huge number of votes from NA-122 just before the October 11, 2015 by-election and after the 2013 general elections aimed at defeating PTI but could give only two CNIC numbers as proof.
Both his claims were proved wrong when checked from the national database and computerized electoral voting lists.
Earlier, PTI initially hesitated to provide any proof in the form of CNIC numbers so its claims could be verified but as the media continued pressing the party finally provided eight CNIC numbers to the press.
In an investigative report, The News has proved by quoting national computerized voting lists that all the eight CNIC cases provided by PTI were fake and were never registered as voters in NA-122 so the question of their transfer outside NA-122 did not arise. The story was not contradicted by the PTI.
Now while claiming that thousands of votes have been transferred from NA-122 or have been transferred into NA-122, the PTI could provide only two cases with their CNICs. Both were checked from the Nadra record and PTI’s claim were found to be fake and misleading.
The first case is of that of one Javed Hussain s/o Zahid Hussain whose CNIC number is: 35202-0901418-7. While sending his CNIC on ECP SMS Service “8300”, the following data can be accessed; Silsala No: 275, Block Code: 171010204, Ward: Ward No-2, Moeenuddinpur-2, Union Counsel/Committee: 34-Moeenuddinpur, District Counsel Gujrat, Polling Station: Government Boys High School, Moeenuddinpur, Gujrat (Combined).
PTI claimed that this voter voted in NA-122 on May 11, 2013 but later his vote was transferred to Gujrat without his consent. PTI chief Imran Khan said that it was an outright fraud and an FIR could be registered for committing this act.
However, the official ECP record shows that Javed Hussain s/o Zahid Hussain carrying CNIC number 35202-0901418-7 applied to

the district election officer Gujrat Majid Sharif Dogar for transfer of his vote under section 18 from NA-122 to NA-105 on March 25, 2013. His actual request for transfer of vote bearing his original signatures is present in the record of the ECP.
The 2013 photo electric rolls of NA-122 carrying data of voters who voted on May 11, 2103 along with their thumb impressions are also present and this shows he never voted in NA-122 during the general elections held in May 2013. So he lied on oath while submitting an affidavit to PTI which was provided to the media on Friday.
A senior Nadra official when contacted told The News that the authority may consider taking legal action against him for making fake documents and will also seek damages from all those who were involved in defamation of the organisation. Officials said if he had really cast his vote in NA-122 on May 11 2013, he had polled a fake vote which establishes another fraud.
It is very important that this person Javed Hussain checked his vote on February 22, 2013 using the ECP SMS service “8300” at 12:42 hrs in the afternoon using a cell number 0308-401-0919. After finding his vote in NA-122, he moved an application for transfer of vote from NA-122 to Gujrat. He never checked his vote again until October 11, 2015.
The other case presented by PTI chief Imran Khan was that of one Muhammad Sajid Pervez s/o Wali Muhammad bearing CNIC: 34301-1783257-3. the PTI chief provided media persons a screenshot of a mobile showing that this person checked his vote on July 24, 2015 and found his vote falling in NA-122 and when he later checked his vote on October 11, 2015 his vote was transferred to Hafizabad. However, this was also a fraud and the screenshot was photoshopped by some inexperienced individual not realising that anyone can check the same by sending the CNIC number to “8300”.
ECP SMS Service “8300” provides the following details of this person when his CNIC number is sent; Silsala No: 785, Block Code: 1867502061/2, Ward: 31-Madina Colony Sharqi, Municipal Committee Hafizabad, Polling Station: Sub-Division Wapda, Samanabad Lahore (For Male).
This voter was registered in the Samanabad area of Lahore on the day of general elections on May 11, 2013 and is still registered in the same place with no change whatsoever. However, because of the local bodies elections, ECP SMS Service “8300” provides some more details of voters in some cases. In his case, “8300” showed his other address of Hafizabad but his polling station (photoshopped by PTI team in the screenshot provided to the media) is still Samanabad, Lahore. This voter transferred his vote to Samanabad much before the 2013 elections, was registered in Samanabad during the 2013 elections and is still registered there.
This scribe examined the whole database and The News has copies of all documents, voting lists in 2013 and now in 2015 and the record of votes polled during the 2013 elections. The Director Media and spokesman of Nadra, however, when contacted refused to make any comment.
