Friends used to visit Imran and speak ill of Reham

KARACHI: Shahzeb Khanzada, while speaking on his programme ‘Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath’ on Wednesday, said that Jehangir Tarin has not only been criticised in the matter of Imran Khan’s marriage and divorce but he has also been under attack since he joined the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.Some people accuse Jehangir Tarin of having hijacked the Tehreek-e-Insaf by virtue of his plane.
Shahzeb Khanzada said that Jehangir Tarin was also the subject of criticism when Imran Khan announced his sit-in protest in Islamabad against alleged rigging in elections. During the course of the sit-in protest, the critics alleged that Jehangir Tarin was one of the masterminds of the protest.
During the period of the sit-in protest, Imran Khan met Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on August 28, 2014, and Jehangir Tarin drove the car in which Imran Khan travelled for his meeting with General Raheel Sharif.
Shahzeb Khanzada said that Hamid Khan and Justice (retd) Wajeehuddin Ahmed had remained in the limelight in respect of their being highly vocal in their criticism of Jehangir Tarin.
Imran Khan had formed a committee comprising Justice (retd) Wajeehuddin Ahmed and Yousuf Gabol to look into the negative results of the intra-party elections.
The committee’s decision was to expel PTI secretary-general Jehangir Tarin, Aleem Khan and others from the party. However, Imran Khan had refused to accept the recommendations of Justice (retd) Wajeehuddin Ahmed. Later on, Imran continued to defend Jehangir Tarin on other matters as well.
Shahzeb Khanzada said that many issues had made Jehangir Tarin controversial, and now Reham Khan has said today that the person responsible for her divorce is Jehangir Tarin.
Geo News correspondent Ayaz Akbar Yousufzai said on the programme that Jehangir Tarin had played a very important role in the marriage of Imran Khan and Reham Khan. According to a close friend of Reham Khan, Reham told her that Jehangir Tarin managed

to have Imran accept whatever the former suggested, but Reham managed to counter all those things as soon as she learnt about such things through Imran Khan. This made Jehangir Tarin suspect that Reham Khan’s influence over the party was increasing.
Ayaz Akbar Yousufzai said that the media has been speculating that Reham Khan used to beat Imran Khan. He said one should know that no one has the guts to beat Imran Khan.
Ayaz Akbar Yousufzai said that the biggest dispute between Imran and Reham revolved round the fact that Imran’s close friends used to visit him at his house. These visits came to a halt after Imran married Reham Khan. Reham learnt that some of Imran’s friends had been trying to influence Imran against Reham Khan and that those friends of Imran had also been using derogatory language for Reham Khan. Reham asked Imran if there were truth in all these allegations to which Imran had said no.
However, a certain matter that took place in the presence of Reham Khan made her very angry. Reham was furious, and she had an argument over the matter with Imran in which Reham asked Imran how could he tolerate such things being said against his wife? However, Imran stopped his close friends from visiting his house ever again. Nevertheless, there is no truth in the claims that Reham used to beat Imran. Reham did not like Imran’s friends’ frequent visits, and Imran and Reham used to quarrel over the matter.
Ayaz Akbar Yousufzai said that according to sources, Reham wanted to say a lot of things, but Imran’s friend, Zulfi Bukhari, has been mediating. The divorce between Imran and Reham has not yet come into effect.
Reham says that she learnt about the divorce thing in Britain through a message from Naeemul Haq. The divorce to come into effect will take some time because she is a British citizen whereas Imran a Pakistani citizen.
Reham says that she does not understand why there was such haste in the matter of separation. She said that she had travelled to Britain to attend a scheduled conference. Initially, she missed her flight. She returned home, and there was nothing wrong. However, the next day there was a quarrel which made her upset and she walked out in anger after which Jehangir Tarin and some other friends told Imran Khan that before Reham addresses a press conference in England, Imran should preempt her by announcing the divorce. The people behind Imran and Reham’s separation feared that Reham might come back to patch up with Imran Khan, and so they forced Imran into doing what they had been asking Imran to do. Reham insists that the divorce has not come into effect yet.
Shahzeb Khanzada said that this is the version of Reham Khan that Jehangir Tarin is the principal person behind her divorce. Shahzeb Khanzada said that when he contacted Jehangir Tarin to have his version on the matter, the latter said that there is no truth in this version. There had been some issues between Imran and Reham. “How can I be held responsible for someone’s personal matters? I hold Reham Khan in high esteem. It is very unfortunate that she is holding other people responsible for her marriage’s failure. Reham Khan has had some personal issues, and I am in no way responsible for anything,” said Jehangir Tarin.
Meanwhile, Geo News correspondent in London Murtaza Ali Shah said on the programme that Reham Khan has postponed her plan of returning to Pakistan. Reham Khan was supposed to embark on her journey back to Pakistan today after having attended the international media conference but she had her ticket cancelled. Reham Khan will now stay in London. Zulfi Bukhari has not returned to London yet after his meeting with Imran Khan, and this is the reason why Reham Khan has had her ticket cancelled. According to circles close to Reham Khan, she will embark on her next plan of action after Zulfi Bukhari conveys Imran’s message to her.
