Death toll of Karachi accident reaches 62

KARACHI: The death toll in the collision between a passenger bus and an oil tanker here on the Super Highway rose to 62 on Sunday. A coach, carrying about 70 passengers, was on its way to Shikarpur from Karachi when it collided with an oil tanker late on Saturday night.

KARACHI: The death toll in the collision between a passenger bus and an oil tanker here on the Super Highway rose to 62 on Sunday.
A coach, carrying about 70 passengers, was on its way to Shikarpur from Karachi when it collided with an oil tanker late on Saturday night. The coach and tanker caught fire soon after the accident that occurred within the limits of Memon Goth Police Station.
According to media reports, all the dead bodies are unidentifiable.President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and former president Asif Ali Zardari have expressed grief over the tragic accident in Karachi.
