LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Energy Dr Akhtar Malik, PTI central Punjab President Ejaz Ahmed Ch and Overseas Commission Punjab Vice Chairman Muhammad Waseem Ramey called on Governor Ch Muhammad Sarwar.
Governor Ch Sarwar said that under the leadership of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the role of Pakistan Army in the war against corona is highly commendable. Coronavirus is proving dangerous for entire humanity and economies across the world including Pakistan. Opposition should shun the policy of politicising the matter rather stands by the government institutions fighting corona pandemic. “Together we all have to protect 220 million people from corona pandemic.”
The matters including anti-corona measures were discussed during the meetings with Punjab Ch Sarwar at Governor House here on Wednesday. Speaking on this occasion, Ch Sarwar said that war against corona has become war of nation and country’s survival and Pakistan cannot afford any laxity in this regard. It is need of the hour that opposition while setting aside political interest must supports the government in the war against corona because corona spread is destructive for the country and the nation. The people should also stay at home instead of roaming on streets without any purpose so that they can prevent themselves and others from this fatal virus. History is evident that Prime Minister Imran Khan never advocated for personal gains but for national interests. Even today, the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan is striving against corona round the clock and In Sha Allah, we will not leave the people alone. The poor families will not only be protected from corona but also provided with free ration.
The governor said that under the leadership of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Pakistan Armed Forces are supporting the government institutions fighting coronavirus which is highly commendable. No doubt, corona war has become war of 220 million Pakistanis and together we have to overpower corona, he added.
