Islamabad:The Pakistan Red Crescent Society Monday provided personal protection equipment (PPE) to the medical staff treating the coronavirus patients at the government-run hospitals in Rawalpindi, says a press release.
The PPEs were handed over to the Rawalpindi Medical University Vice Chancellor Dr Muhamad Umar.Speaking on the occasion, PRCS Secretary General Khalid Bin Majeed said the PRCS in collaboration with the government authorities had been ensuring the protection of health workers and volunteers engaged in combating the COVID-19 outbreak.
He said the PRCS would also provide face masks and PPE to other government hospitals in the coming days. Dr Umar thanked the PRCS for providing the PPE and expressed hope that the PRCS would also continue to provide similar support in future for the protection and safety of healthcare workers in hospitals.
