Chinese Embassy gifts 20,000 masks to capital police
Islamabad : Embassy of the People's Republic of China gifted 20,000 masks to Islamabad Police standing in front row in fight against Coronavirus, a police spokesman said on Saturday.
Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing lauded the efforts of Islamabad police in this critical time and said that the force is standing on front line in fight against COVID-19. Such cooperation will also continue in future, he added.
Meanwhile, Inspector General of Islamabad Police Muhammad Aamir Zufliqar Khan thanked Chinese Ambassador over assistance in the challenging time and hoped that this pandemic will be overcome through assistance of China.
He said that Pak-China friendship is higher than Himalayas, deeper than ocean, sweeter than honey and Pakistan will overcome Coronavirus through assistance of China. Islamabad Police Chief said that efforts are also being made for to protect health of policemen so that they may accomplish their responsibilities in an effective manner. He said that Islamabad police is standing with its citizens and the morale of the force is very much high.
He also appreciated the performance of Operational Division Police headed by DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed in this tough time.
