LAHORE:Police failure in implementing ban on kite flying resulted in the killing of another young man in the Factory Area police limits on Tuesday.
Victim has been identified as Danish, 25, a resident of Azad Kashmir. He was living in a rented house in Sufiabad. He was on his way on a bike from Chungi Amar Sadhu when a stray kite string entangled around his neck. As the result, his jugular vein was badly cut. He was rushed to hospital in a rickshaw where he succumbed to his injuries.
The body was removed to morgue. Meanwhile, the DIG Operations took notice of the incident and suspended SHO Rana Arham. The chief minister also took notice of the incident and sought a report from the CCPO. It is worth mentioning here that kite flying was witnessed in most of the areas, including Ichhra, Islampura and Nishtar Colony.

The flag march by both wings of police started from Walton Headquarters, passed through Kalma Chowk, Liberty Roundabout, Jail Road, Sadman, China Chowk, and The Mall and culminated at Nasser Bagh.
arrested: Police registered 201 cases and arrested 513 persons for violating Section 144 here on Sunday.
At least 115 violators were arrested by the City division police, 119 by Cantt division, 79 by Civil Lines division, 80 by Iqbal Town division, 40 by Model Town division and 80 violators were arrested by Sadr Division police. Lahore police also registered 32 cases and arrested 28 persons for selling masks and sanitizer on higher prices.
